C12

C12 is a creative group established by Michael Patrick Farrell Jr, Kevin Longstreth (RocketMan) and Chip Douglas III (MildManneredMan).  Our projects recruit many other members but the core philosophy stays the same: We can do anything.

Videos:

“Waiting for Steve” is a short film produced for the Tide House Film Fest, an event put on by the Drinking & Writing Theater.  The task was to choose 1 stage of intoxication and make a short video: Our stage was confusion.

“Smoked Schoon” is a music video produced for the Bar Fly Ally Fight, an event put on by the Drinking & Writing Theater.  We wrote the song based on the brewer we were pair up with, David Schoon, and myself while exploring our relationships with beer and each other.

“In The Rick of Time”  was made for the 48 Hour Film Project in Chicago, 2013. A NOPE Productions and Northern Amber Productions film. Our cast and crew were wonderful, including: Julie Garfield, Kevin Longstreth, Adam “Chip” Smith, Korin Isotalo, Matt Lally, Moses Tulasi, Tim Nunnig, Jake Schmeling, and Whitney Price. SuperVillain, including Loren Dinneen, Adam Smith, and Ben Roche, killed it on the soundtrack. Garett Reppenhagen also provided much needed comic relief during our brainstorming session. And a very special thanks goes out to Boris (the cat) for allowing us to take over his hearth and home.

“Looking For Steve” is an award winning short film and continuation of “Waiting For Steve” seen above.  This was also created for the Tied House Film Fest 2014 at the Drinking & Writing Theater.  The task again was to choose 1 stage of intoxication and make a short video: Our stage was confusion.

“The Dali in Me” is our latest project, created for the 48 Hour Film Festival in Chicago, 2014. C12 brought in Jake Myers to handle the cinematography and hooked up with writer Robert Paul Laudenslager again to create this film that landed in the top 14 of 58.

“Coconut Blonde” is a video produced for the Bar Fly Ally Fight, an event put on by the Drinking & Writing Theater.  We wrote some original music based on the first words our assigned brewer, Rick Bedell, said to me: “The beer will be a Coconut Blonde.”  We were instantly inspired to create a new business to capitalize on an untapped market.
